...to have Monsters Inc start immediately, sans previews, so my kid doesn't kick and scream while mommy chooses menu, waits, chooses play, waits, and the chooses widescreen. Seriously, people, it's a movie for kids. And kids are even more impatient than I am.
Blah!
Life can only improve at this point, right?
Etcetera.
But, no, Disney has all its movies with amazing Disney FastPlay, which means, as far as I can tell, that it goes right to the previews FAST!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I appear to be your only subscriber on bloglines. It makes me feel special.
I'm VERY VERY upset with Nickjr for taking Blue's Clues off their daily lineup. How do you explain THAT to an almost 2 year old? Sigh.

What is bloglines?
ReplyDeleteOf *course* it would. How else will the kiddos know about all the other movies they have to convince mom and dad to buy for them?
ReplyDeleteI remember those "IWANTMYMOVIEMAMAANDIWANTITRIIIIGGGGHHHHTTTNOOOOOOWWWW!!!!!" screaming fits. One day (long ago) I asked S before I put the disk in, "Do you want to watch the previews, or skip to the menu?" and he said "Kip!" So that has become a family ritual, saying "skip... skip... skip..." over all the previews. And it somehow replaced the screaming in just a few repetitions. Katie picked it up when she got verbal. It really is much nicer than the screaming. (YMMV)
i have found the secret. if you can't "menu" out or fast-forward try hitting the channel up button. on my dvd player it lets me skip through alot of the crap at the beginning. you sometimes miss the very beginning of the movie, but if you have already watched it 3 times that day, who cares?!?
