Being pregnant sucks.
I think I'll start all blogs that way from now on.
I took my strong meds last night at 8 p.m. I feel asleep instantly, as phenergan knocks me out. I slept until 7 a.m. this morning. I don't feel rested, exactly, but I feel less like I'll puke at any minute. Though I did almost puke once this morning, so that sucked. I think I'll work from home today. I brought my files home, and that just seems like the best thing for now.
At least I am certain that I am not currently dehydrated (though I was in danger yesterday). So there won't be any IVs for me today. I cancelled Ander's playdate at the zoo for this morning. It's going to be very cool and windy and I feel crappy, so getting out seems like a bad idea.
Etcetera.
Question: are you bouncing up right out of bed when you wake up or giving your self some time before standing and moving around? I don't know if that has absolutely anything to do about anything but I read it somewhere on a site about cancer patients.
ReplyDeleteWow! Okay, I'm just catching up. Congratulations to you both!!!!! I will keep both of you in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteAnd FWIW, phenergan is an antihistamine that's sometimes used to begin sedating/calming people before surgery. I've only used it in, er, "non-oral" form, for nausea. So yeah, I know it just PULLS you down into sleep.
I'll be thinking of you. Feel better!
I've also had it in "non-oral" form when I had Ander. LOL at your choice of words.
ReplyDeleteI wish I wasn't immersed in grad school right now--I'd go over there and do stuff. Talk, clean, whatever you both need. And no, I'm not just saying that; it would be good for me too, because I really need to step outside the school-iverse (uni-verse?) once in a while, and I seldom do.
ReplyDelete(VERY) Glad to hear about the pregnancy, but sorry you are having such a rough time with it!
