When the electricity was turned back on after Gustav, it caused a fire in a friend of mine's house. She (and her husband and three kids) lost everything.
I am so paranoid when I hear stories like that. Do they know what caused it? I keep reading about people having forgotten to turn things off and when power came on, it started a fire. Also, stories of generators causing problems when the power is back. Sorry about your friend. That is a shame.
