I go back and forth over including a menu in my planner. I like to see the menu, but there doesn't seem to be a good place to put it. I either can't see it on Monday through Thursday or I can't see it over the weekend.
So, for this week's tiny change, I put the first half of the menu on top of the first half of the week.
The second half goes on top of the second half of the week.
It's working nicely so far.
Etcetera.
My menu plan is on a separate page tucked behind the secretarial pocket of my planner. It's also on a whiteboard in my kitchen.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. I use the FC half pages for many things but have never thought about this. It makes perfect sense.
ReplyDeleteI put it in the 6pm time slot on my schedule, since that is when we eat. I used timed day pages, though.
ReplyDeletei like the comment on putting it in the appropriate time slot! i don't use timed day pages, but if i did, i would definitely do this. i use WO2P (omg, i know the acronyms now!) and so when i created my planner (yes, i said created), i use an A4 piece of paper landscape and fold it in half to make it A5 size for my binder. the menu is "inside" the right weekly page (along with a long post-it for my grocery list and yes i made the post-it) and it's working well.
