I've always used washi tape or big Xs to mark off the unused squares on the monthly spread.
But I upped my game today!
By putting "SEE [OTHER MONTH]" in the middle of each X, I ensure that I don't accidentally write one appointment on the June spread on the 30th and another, conflicting appointment on the July spread.
It's a simple tweak that really makes your planner more effective.

Out of curiosity, would you mind sharing you're August monthly pages please? I'm interested in seeing how they handled the 5 weekends in the month. I've seen some planners that put the 31st in the top row, so it looks like it was the month before. Others halve the space for the previous weekday and put the 31st in there too. They're both really inconvenient, IMO! Do you have a preference?
ReplyDeleteI've never really had that problem and liked having the extra writing room. Sometimes I box the empty boxes or highlight them to show they aren't part of the actual month.
