Every week or so, I put more paper in my planner.
No, my planner does not weigh 10 pounds!
There are just some things that need to be added to my planner on an ongoing basis, so that I don't have to carry this stuff around all the time.
*Next Month's Monthly/Weekly Pages
These don't add any bulk, since I take out last month's pages to archive whenever I do this.
*Blank Paper
I mostly use blank paper for temporary lists, like grocery lists. I toss them as I am done with them, but always need new ones, so I add some one a week.
*Daily Docket Pages
I add a week's worth of daily docket pages at a time.
It seems like a like of work, but because I don't carry tons of extra dailies, months, or blank pages, my planner's profile stays light and slim.
What do you add regularly to your planner?
Etcetera.
Stickers! I have a serious sticker addiction. I use a vertical Wo2P layout, in that more often I completely forget what day I'm on. Instead of drawing a line or X-ing out the day, I'll put a sticker. If I stick to a "theme" my spent pages look more cohesive. This is only for the weeklies. Any stickers on the month spreads mean something (my way of color coding.)
ReplyDeleteAnother thing that gets replenished almost weekly, capture/dashboard paper. Tried using post-its for this, but it seems there's never enough or too much space.
This is one of the reasons why I stopped using a Filofax last time. I hate cutting and punching paper! And I always need more of it!
ReplyDeleteI have a gazillion of ideas, and I write them one on one sheet of paper because I need to brainstorm them, so I can't write them just in a list form.
and I journal in my filofax, almost every day. I'm going to write a post about it soon on my blog!

I have to keep at least three months ahead in my planner but I do carry extra paper. I'm a writer, so I have to have the extra paper for notes and stuff if the mood strikes me. The extra three months is to be prepared. i've had doctors have to schedule as far as a month away on an appointment and I like knowing what is upcoming in my schedule as I make plans.
ReplyDeleteI actually only carry my week on two pages inserts, monthly and yearly spreads and note paper. As I write down notes, I remove the used pages if these are only general things that don't need to be archived and add new pages.
ReplyDeleteI have a question. Last week on Facebook you posted on one of the planner sites a picture of your daily docket. I was wondering if you would be willing to sell them. These would be perfect for me

ReplyDeleteAt the moment, I have extra paper for notes, a couple of schedule/to-do pages I made myself, nine months' worth of monthly pages, and a few printables I'm trying out to see if I like them. The heaviest part of my planner is my Kindle Fire, which resides in a pocket on the front cover.
ReplyDeleteI recently posted about the tweaks I've been making to my planner system as I go. I plan to post a "Part 2" soon:
